Nice G-RAID mini review! The editor says, "G-Technology is considered by professionals all over the world as one of the top companies when it comes to professional external HDD solutions ...You see their products don't just perform great leaving other similar solutions far behind but they also feature awesome build quality, improved cooling efficiency and a total of 3 years warranty. That aside i really can't say much about the G-RAID Mini 1TB since like i said i really think numbers speak on their own. My only slight concern is with the size of the unit but considering that this is aimed at professionals who place speed and reliability above all else i don't think this will be an issue at all....All things aside the fact that this is the very first time we have ever seen an external HDD cross the 200MB/s mark is reason enough for us to award the G-RAID Mini by G-Technology with our Editors Real Deal Choice Award."

G-RAID3 vs CALDIGIT VR

If you want a nice simple drive to edit HD video with that provides lots of space and speed, the G-RAID3 is for you. It is light, simple to use, and durable. Great little unit. I lost faith in G-Tech a while back when the G-Raid2 had issues with daisy chaining the units (performance would drop from 65MB/s to 16MB/s), but this drive has returned my faith in the company and their products. The
G-Raid3 is a great little drive that I'd recommend to anyone.

Even if it weren't gorgeous, this drive would still be an essential piece of equipment. Maybe overkill for a production office, but right at the heart of any editing room. But it is really that good-looking. Housed in a titanium casing (made to look at home perched on any Mac Pro), the entire line of drives could teach elegance to Apple. I want this designer to do my living room. Or at least my luggage.
