G-RAID Pro features five hot-swap drive modules that enable you to remove and replace a failed module without losing data or interrupting work in progress. Since the contents of the failed drive are rebuilt in the background on the replacement drive module, (using redundant or parity information)

While benchmark numbers can be used to quantify the raw read/write performance of a storage system, they do not translate in to real-world performance. Simple Configuration and Management
G-RAID Pro ships with a configuration and management utility that simplifies RAID setup and monitoring of the system. In the event of a hardware failure, G-RAID Pro will notify you via email in-band over the FireWire connection.
The G-RAID Pro configuration utilty is not compatible with Intel-based Macs and OSX Server. The G-RAID Pro is shipped configured in RAID 3 mode and will operate normally on these systems. In the event of a failure, front panel LEDs will indicate the problem.
Removable Cooling Fan and Power Supply Modules
G-Raid Pro is equipped with a large and quiet removable fan assembly that ensures optimal cooling for reliable operation and data integrity. The system also features a 140W removable power supply module.
