Official Rules for the G-Technology "Show Us Your Drives" Sweepstakes.

0. Description

By entering or participating in the G-Technology "Show Us Your Drives" Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") you agree to all of the following rules:

Rules:

1. Eligibility

Entrants must be 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry and, as a condition of entry, agree to comply with these rules and the decisions of Sponsor. Entry is open to individuals resident in the continental United States and entry is free. Eligibility criteria is based upon individuals. No more than one entry or prize per person, regardless of number of email addresses.

2. Entry procedure

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. You may only enter online. To enter, visit www.facebook.com/G-Technology and register for the Sweepstakes with a first and last name and valid email address. All required fields must be completed or your entry will not be eligible. There will be a random drawing at 12:00PM (PST) on 4/7/2013 of all eligible entries as at such dates. This is a game of chance. Odds of winning are based on eligible number of entries. Each of the three winning entries will receive one G-DRIVE mini.

3. Entry dates

Online entry starts at 12:00 noon 3/25/2013 and ends at 12:00 noon 4/7/2013. Entries received afterwards will not be considered. Winners will be contacted by email and then announced on Sponsor's Twitter feed and Facebook page. Winner notification will be completed on or about 4/8/2013, 2013. Potential winners will be notified by email and asked to return email their mailing address. If any winner notification remains unanswered for more than forty-eight (48) hours, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety and an alternate winner will be selected.

4. Prizes

Three (3) Grand Prize Winners will each receive one (1) G-DRIVE mini. Each prize item has an average value of $149.95. Prizes and prize value are as stated and no cash or other alternative can be offered, save that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equivalent or greater value if the stated prize is not available. Decisions made by Sponsor are final in all matters, including interpretation of these official rules and awarding of the prize(s). If legitimately claimed, the prize(s) will be awarded. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. Winners are responsible for any expenses not specified herein, including taxes payable on prizes.

5. Release and Liability

5.1 Release

By participating in this contest, you agree to release and hold the Sponsor and its group companies, partners, agents, and employees, harmless from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in or in connection with the competition, including, without limitation, awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of the submissions and the prizes herein. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing and the Sponsor shall not be liable if any entry is lost, damaged, temporarily unavailable for view or otherwise impaired or compromised by reason of problems with a third party hosting site. The above exclusions of liability shall not apply to death or personal injury caused as a result of the Sponsor’s (or other relevant entity's) negligence.

5.2 Facebook

The Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook. You hereby release Facebook from any and all liability in connection with it. You are providing information to Sponsor and not to Facebook. By participating in this Sweepstakes, all entrants and participants agree to release Facebook from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the Sweepstakes.

6. Choice of Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state of California. Any action by entrant or any third party brought to enforce these rules or, in connection with any matters related to the web site shall be brought only in either the State or Federal Courts located in California and you expressly consent to the jurisdiction of such courts (save to the extent that local law elsewhere may impose mandatory legal requirements and/or mandatory jurisdiction of the local courts).

7. General

Void where prohibited by law. No purchase is necessary to enter. Sponsor employees and their immediate families, their agents, Sponsor’s subsidiaries, affiliates, promotion and public relations agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and representatives or anyone else professionally connected to this contest are ineligible to participate in the Sweepstakes and/or win a prize. For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, the data controller is the Sponsor. Participants agree that the personal data they provide may be processed, stored and otherwise used for the purposes of the operation of the contest and the exhibition described above. The Sponsor may also use your personal data to provide you with information on HGST and our products, where you have consented to this. Except as otherwise stated in these official rules, the use of the information each entrant submits in this Sweepstakes is governed by the HGST online privacy policy, which can be found at www.hgst.com/privacy. Information supplied to us by entrants will not be disclosed to third parties except as otherwise provided herein.

Winners may be required to sign, have notarized and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within ten (10) days of receipt of such document(s) or prize will be forfeited. All prize claims and winner materials will be verified by Sweepstakes judges. If this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including, because of any infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or other cause beyond Sponsor's control which corrupts or threatens to corrupt or adversely affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend and/or modify this Sweepstakes and Sponsor can perform the random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to such cancellation, suspension or modification of the Sweepstakes.

Neither Sponsor nor the Sponsor affiliates make any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the use of any prize including quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Neither Sponsor nor the Sponsor affiliates are responsible for technical, hardware, software, or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by Sponsor or the Sponsor affiliates, the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Sweepstakes or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Sweepstakes and which may limit a participant's ability to participate in this Sweepstakes. Entries that are incomplete, illegible or corrupted are void and will not be accepted. Any person who supplies false information, enters by fraudulent means, or is otherwise determined to be in violation of these official rules in an attempt to obtain any prize will forfeit the prize won and may be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Sponsor can modify these official rules in any way or at any time, as long as Sponsor gives reasonable notice.
